How does a UV lamp work?
We use them every day, but often without really knowing what happens. Simply put, your lamp sends UV light (in nanometers) to the gel. That light activates the photoinitiators, causing your product to cure, from liquid to solid.
Dual Wave, what is that?
Not all photoinitiators respond to the same wavelength. Some need around 365 nm, others around 405 nm. A Dual Wave lamp combines both. This ensures that all your gels cure properly, whether they contain TPO or use new alternatives.
Why is this important?
If your lamp only emits one wavelength, there is a risk that the product will not cure 100%. The result: lifting, breakage, or irritation. With a Dual Wave lamp, you are safe.
And our lamp?
For those who use the Ugly Duckling lamp: it is Dual Wave and therefore suitable for both classic and TPO-free products. So no stress, your products will cure perfectly.
👉 Tip of the day: always use the right lamp for your product. This will save you a lot of hassle with adhesion and keep your sets looking beautiful for longer.
